The first exercise we have for you involves sitting comfortably in front of a window. Get a sticker, or a piece of tape that is black in color. Start by focusing on the sticker for about twenty seconds, then look out the window for twenty seconds. Keep alternating between those two.

Next is the blinking exercise. This is an exercise that is overlooked a lot, but it is simple to use, Every three to four seconds, just blink your eyes. You can do this while you are writing or you may choose to sit somewhere comfortable and relax to do this. The choice is up to you.

Write numbers and letters that are different sizes on a soccer ball, kickball and softball. Hang them from the ceiling on a string and give them a knock in any direction you choose. When it swings, call out the numbers and letters you see. This is a simple technique that does not involve much.

This exercise involves following your thumb. A couple of times throughout the day, hold up your thumbs in front of you about an arm’s length away and move them in circles, X’s and crosses. You can use in and out motions as well. Without moving your head, follow your thumb.

Well first of all you want to always keep your car tuned up. This is a very easy procedure to do.  But it is a procedure that will help your car last longer.  In my San Marcos auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.  It isn’t so I can make more money.  But it is so they can save money. 

Another thing I always encourage is to always do oil changes. This simple procedure will go a long way.  It will help their engine run smooth and last longer.  Think of the oil as your car’s blood.It won’t be able to survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.A car that is low on oil can severely damage its engine.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Carlsbad auto repair shop.And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels.So be mindful of your car and change its oil regularly.

Last thing I always remind my clients is that they regularly check the transmission of their cars.  Just like the engine, the transmission is a very expensive part to replace.  But having it last long is easy. All you have to do is to regularly maintain it.In my transmission repair shop, I always say to my clients that they should always watch their transmission fluid.  Letting this run down can ruin their transmission.

So there you have it.Performing these simple things will enable you to save a lot on money on repairs.  Plus your car will last longer.

During summertime, the biggest problem would be ants.  That is the biggest call I get from clients durring the summer for my San Diego pest control company. Camshafts Described

A camshaft is a rod on which cams sit. The cams (sometimes called lobes) are oblong in shape with one end noticeably protruding outward from the rod. As the rod turns, so too, do the cams. The protruding end of each lobe is what ultimately allows them to perform their job.

Understanding Their Jobs

First, to better understand the role of the camshaft, let’s review the 4-step process that happens within your car’s combustion chamber. When the intake stroke begins, a piston sits near the top of the chamber. The piston descends, the intake valve opens, and the chamber fills with the air-fuel mixture. Next, the compression stroke begins and the piston rises, compressing the air-fuel mixture within the chamber.

As the piston reaches the top of the chamber the power stroke begins. A spark plug sits at the top. The spark plug ignites the compressed air-fuel mixture, creating an explosion. The force of the explosion pushes the piston toward the bottom of the chamber. As it descends, the exhaust stroke begins as the exhaust valve opens. The piston rises and forces the exhaust from the combustion chamber.

The above description of the 4-stroke process your engine goes through is necessary to fully appreciate the job of the camshafts. I mentioned that the intake valve opens during the intake stroke. As it does, a fuel injector pushes gasoline into the chamber. As the result of one of the cams on the camshaft the intake valve opens. As the rod turns, the oblong cam’s protruding end pushes against the tip of the intake valve. As it does, it forces the valve downward and thereby, creates an opening to the combustion chamber for the fuel.

You’ll remember that the exhaust valve opens in order that the rising piston can force out the exhaust that exists after the power stroke. This happens in the same manner as with the intake camshaft. An exhaust camshaft turns and one of the oblong cams on the rod pushes down on the tip of the exhaust valve. This causes an opening in the chamber through which the gases are pushed out.

This process happens hundreds of times each minute while you're on the road. Flawless timing is the basis of the system's design. While engines attract most of the attention from consumers, they wouldn’t work properly without the camshafts.

Below, I’ll describe a few maintenance areas that deserve your attention. I’ll explain how to look for fluid leaks, check for color or odors that suggest a problem, and note changes in how your tranny operates.

Looking For Leaks

If you notice spots appearing underneath your vehicle in the general area of your transmission, place a piece of white cardboard underneath to catch the drip. That will allow you to ID the color. If the drip appears reddish, it is likely coming from your tranny or the steering column. Take your car to a mechanic and ask him to identify the source of the leak.

If the amount of leaking is relatively small, you may be able to put off having it fixed for awhile. Just be sure to keep the fluid levels up. Like motor oil for your engine, your tranny needs plenty of fluid. Depravation will lead to costly damage. Also, keep in mind that leaks seldom repair themselves. Sooner or later, you’ll need to have it fixed.

Checking For Health By Sight And Smell

Get into the habit of checking your fluid levels every two or three weeks. Turn your engine on and let it idle for a minute. Then, pop the hood and pull the dipstick out. The fluid will have a vibrant, reddish hue if it is "healthy". If it is brown, appears murky, or smells as if it's burning, take your vehicle to a mechanic and ask him to check your transmission. He will probably suggest that you drain it before replenishing its fluid.

Changes In Behavior

Transmissions normally perform their job with uniformity. Changes in behavior will not be subtle. For example, you might hear a high-pitched whine coming from the floor. You might notice a hard shift between certain gears. You might also notice that your transmission shifts sporadically at different RPMs. Each of these is a warning sign that something might be wrong.

Have a mechanic take a look. In many cases, if you can catch a problem early enough, it can be fixed without incurring an enormous repair bill. On the other hand, if you let it persist, the problem might make an expensive overhaul necessary in the future.

As with most of your car’s parts and systems, periodically checking the health of your transmission will go a long way toward preserving its life.

First of all here is a big one.  It is called perspective. The place where you will take the shot is very important.  Taking a picture from the side can bring a totally different perspective from a shot from the front.  I have seen this firsthand doing San Diego wedding photographer.Taking photos at different angles will result to different looks using the same subject or scenery.By taking shots in different angles you can see which shot is the most beautiful. 

Here is another uncommon one.Don’t make your subjects as the center of your shots. Most people have this knowledge that in taking pictures the subjects should be at the center.  I have seen from my experience taking photos as a San Diego photographer this doesn’t always produce the best shot.By changing the way you usually take photos you create a shot which is new to the viewer’s eyes and it would be more attractive.

Last tip is to use a technique they call depth.With this you will be trying to add more dimensions to a shot.  That way you aren’t just taking 2 dimensional shots but photos that are 3 dimensional.This leads to more beautiful photos.  This has helped me make some of my San Diego event photography come alive.  Rather than having flat photos, the shots make a person feel they are there.
